Hi, my name is Kevin Nieves.

I like coffee, a lot. On the fourth cup I see things.

I'm going to post all over the place.

Nothing to start the week like having some of these bad boys. I loved taking these photos, because I get to eat them after. Booyah!

Don’t know what to do with a photo taken years ago. Here’s to sporadic artsy attacks. Cheers!

Some of my tryptich photography to end up the year, taken at Quezon City and Bulacan respectively. Here’s me chillin’ with my offsprin’, greeting you a merry Christmas and a creative new year!

Another set of doodles for the week. :) It feels good sketching again.

Election results are a bit stale by now, but as an adopted son of Manila, I have to post this sketch I did a week earlier.
We Filipinos are not stupid. We’re just forgetful. No. I take that back. We know know we got robbed once by this action star. We know he went to prison because of it. ( If you call house arrest a prison) And still somehow, this guy gets elected again.
We are not morons. We don’t have amnesia either. It just happens that we, people who love distraction via the bickering of two sterile candidates, just blinded by a brightly colored campaign sprinkled with catchy tag phrases.
And it came in orange.

*Look at where the boy seems to be pointing. Makes you wonder, can people live a full life with an empty stomach? Taken from the walkway. — at LRT Doroteo Jose Station.

**Takes the word outdoors to a whole new level. Only in the Philippines.

***Yeay! A colored photo. A play at irony. Taken from the connecting walkway.

Saw some photography work done by a friend, automatically got inspired. Did some spring cleaning of my hard drive and discovered (again) some shots with potential.

Here is my shameless attempt at photography. Most of these were selected for the feelings I get when I see them (especially the rainy one).

The buildings here are from CCP Complex, my two most favorite buildings of all time. International Style still rocks! Tried playing with composition a little bit, shades and shapes and whatnot.

The bottom vignettes are from another photowalk at the CCP Complex. Clue: One of these buildings got burnt down recently.

The photo of the of the old man however, I’m just 50% sure I was the author of the shot. I had a friend trying my camera out that time. But it’s a nice subject can’t help but edit and post it! :)

*Sketch! (finally)

There are moments when we have to hear the bad news. We act tough. We seem to be tough. We believe it. Other people believe it. But you know the truth, you crumble just like everybody else. But that doesn’t mean they have to see it.
